Richard S. Katz, O.D.

Dr. Katz is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated, with honors, from Towson State University with a degree in Biology. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1983, with honors, from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He founded Optometric Eye Care Associates in 1984 at it's present location in Burke. His special interests are primary vision care for the family including kids, contact lenses, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. He also provides pre-and post-operative co-managed care for laser vision correction and cataract surgery patients. He resides close to the office with his wife, son and daughter. He enjoys golf, travel and watching his children's activities.

Seema Nechel, O.D.

Dr. Nechel is a true local. She grew up and was schooled in Fairfax County. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to receive her degree in Doctor of Optometry in 1996 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She then returned to Northern Virginia to start her optometric career. She has practiced in Burke at Optometric Eye Care Associates since 1996. Dr. Nechel's special professional interests are primary family eye care, including the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and contact lenses. She also provides pre-and post-operative co-managed care for laser vision correction and cataract surgery patients. Personally, she resides in Fairfax County and keeps busy with her husband, daughter and son.

Lori A. Facktor, O.D.

Dr. Facktor graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After beginning her optometric career in Chicago, Dr. Facktor moved to Northern Virginia and began practicing at Optometric Eye Care Associates in 2001. She specializes in comprehensive eye care for the entire family, fitting of contact lenses and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She also provides pre-and post-operative co-managed care for laser vision correction and cataract surgery patients.
